We are in a beautiful area that has picturesque natural settings preserved, whereas many of our neighborhoods are nestled in hard wood and pine forests. Out of 585 square miles there is 20 square miles of water so we in Livingston County thoroughly enjoy our beaches and boating! There are a plethora of beautiful golf courses in the area as well, both public and private, including several golf communities.

The population here is around 180,000. While Livingston County residents enjoy nature’s beauty in their communities, we’re all relatively conveniently located with major expressway access to the metropolitan areas of Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Flint. The three major expressways are I-96, US 23, and M-59. Notable booming areas in Livingston County are Brighton and Howell. There is much more work available to residents of Livingston County than in years past in Brighton and Howell primarily as a result of the growth in the medical industry, service, and industrial sectors. U of M hospital has a large presence in Brighton now where they have general medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and additional services such as lab testing, and rehabilitation. The newest build that took two years and finished Fall of 2018 is the U of M Brighton Center for Specialty Care which will have over 50 services, bring in over 200 medical specialists, and create an estimated 450 full and part time jobs.

The growth of Livingston County has accounted for many options for those in the luxury home market as there are quite a few luxury home subdivisions now in the area, many of them gated with homes ranging from $400,000 (condos), to $500,000 - $800,000, to over $1,000,000 valued homes. There is still vacant land available as well and notable builders in the area that have a reputable and prestigious reputation for building custom, luxury homes. The downtown areas of both Brighton and Howell are becoming big attractions for their shopping and fine dining, breweries, and other night life available. A large sports complex called The Legacy Center is off of Old 23 and Silver Lake now in Brighton that offers a wide variety of sports activities and travel sports teams for residents of Livingston County.

If you like a small town tight knit community feel, yet with modern convenience and the hustle and bustle city life, Brighton and Howell would be for you; whereas the surrounding villages and communities of Livingston County offer that small town remote natural setting but with the convenience of being close to Brighton and Howell for more activity in regards to recreation and work!
